Nusratullah (7 years old) helps his family at a potato field in the village of Bam Sarai in the central Bamyan Province. He attends grade 2 at the Bam Sarai Government Primary school. Besides attending school, most children in the village work in the field to help their family. Over 650 girls and boys, many of the ethnic Hazara minority, attend the school in two shifts.
