The recent convention of sportsmen held in this city was composed of representatives from all parts of [California, an earnestness of purpose was demonstrated in the interest of proposed fish and game legislation that will undoubtedly in- fluence favorable action by the Legislature when the subject is submitted in proper form. The proposed bill as accepted by the convention, is now in the hands of a committee con- sisting of Hon. J. W. Hughes of Sacramento, Chairman; A, D. Jordan of San Diego, St. John of Fresno, J. K.
