The medieval Casez Castle (or Palazzo Concini) XV century- Sanzeno,Non valley, Trento province, Trentino Alto-Adige, Italy, Europe - November 12, 20
Castel Casez, also called Palazzo Concini, is located on the main square of Casez, near Sanzeno, at 692 m Built in the 15th century and despite numerous reconstructions in the 19th century, the castle has retained its castle character and charm until this day. This is made particularly clear by the mighty tower with its battlements and gable roof. The first owners of Castel Casez were the Bagherio di Coredo who got it as a fief in the 13th century. At that time the complex consisted only of a square tower on a clearing. In the course of the centuries, Castel Casez was developed into a fortification. The castle was also residence of the Nobili de Concini and is in private hands today. The ancient buildings of the village Borgo Casez are very characteristic in their Gothic-Venetian architecture, interspersed with typical North European elements.
