Mouldy bread with colored blue and white areas that are fungal mycelia masses of thread like structures hyphae that release enzymes and absorb nutrients. The bright blue green areas are the fungal spores. This is most likely Penicillium a common fungus to infect bread and baked products and Alexander Fleming was first to suggest it secreted an antibacterial substance.
