An Indian bronze temple-sword, Tanjore, 12th - 14th century,. Single-edged blade of bronze with three ridges and an offset double-edged point. On the reinforced back ten rings with two remaining, decorative pendants. Riveted grip ferrule with rectangular guards decorated in relief. Cylindrical grip with square pommel and baluster-shaped finial. Black-green patina, the blade with several old repairs, minor flaws. Length cm. Cf.
