In 1927, Robert Shaw was born in Westhoughton and would become one of Great Britain’s most prized actors and novelist. Ninety-six years later, a novel inspired by Robert Shaw’s performance as Quint in Jaws (1975) arrived in Westhoughton. The Book of Quint, by author Ryan Dacko shows Quint surviving the sinking of the USS Indianapolis tragedy to his arrival on Amity Island.
