Marie Chamand, Comtesse de Lavalette (1781-1855), wife of Comte de Lavalette, French politician and Napoleonic general, and niece of Josephine Beauharnais. In 1815 she saved husband's life by changing clothes with him and enabling him to escape from prison shortly before due to be executed under the second Bourbon restoration.
