Feud - Scenes in Virginia Mountain Town at Trial After Feud, 1912. Shows "Cliffside," the home of Thomas L. Felts, in Ethelfelts [sic], Virginia. This relates to the second trial of Floyd Allen after he killed the judge at his first trial. Landowner Floyd Allen was convicted and executed for murder in 1913 after a courthouse shootout the previous year that left a judge, prosecutor, sheriff, and two others dead. Felts was a partner in the Baldwin Detective Agency which rose to national prominence with the pursuit and capture of the fugitive Floyd Allen and members of his family.
