Lakshmi, sometimes spelled Laxmi, is one of the principal goddesses in Hinduism. The goddess of wealth, fortune, power, beauty, fertility and prosperity, she is both the consort and the divine energy (shakti) of the Hindu god Vishnu, the Supreme Being of Vaishnavism, and along with Parvati and Saraswati, forms the Tridevi of Hindu goddesses.
