Service, and the followingday the birds began to build their first they were rather timid, sitting onthe spoil-bank with a bit of grass or feathersuntil the machine stopped swinging for aminute or so, when they would put thegrass in place, flying away at the firstmove of the boom. Thus it required twoweeks to complete the nest. Graduallythey became bolder and flew in and outwhile the boom swung rapidly. Threeeggs were laid and hatched, and we hadthe pleasure of seeing the young flyaway well matured.
