TAMIS procedure


Patient during transanal minimally invasive surgery (TAMIS) to remove a rectal polyp (small growth). TAMIS is a procedure where an endoscopic surgery port is placed into the anal canal. Instruments are passed through the port and into the rectum to remove a polyp. The wound is then sutured closed.
