Cattle Egret in mating plumage flies in to the nesting colony with its mate in the background. The rust head plumes, chest plumes and back plumes or aigrettes are only present during the breeding is a feisty species and always has a fierce expression. The formal name of this small egret is Bubulcus ibis.
