Town of Flint, Wales. The west curtain wall and north west tower of the 13th century Flint Castle ruins. Dating from 1277 Flint Castle construction was overseen by Edward I master mason James of St Saint George. The castle is believed to be one of Edward I’s first castle in the ‘Iron Ring’ chain of fortresses. The historic site is now managed by the Welsh heritage agency, Cadw.
