Hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Medical worker (hyperbaric technologist) testing hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a treatment that can be used for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). He is putting on an oxygen mask while inside a Hyperbaric Oxygen Multiplace Chamber. The multiplace chamber is capable of fitting six people while being pressurized to an equivalent of metres underwater. Hyperbaric chambers are capable of holding patients for long periods in a high-pressure environment, increasing the amount of oxygen delivered to the patient's tissues. Photographed on 8 August 2013, at the naval hospital at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, USA.
