Frandsen,and emigrated to Utah the same located In Bear River City, BoxElder county, where he resided till 1882,when he moved to Cache county, andlived there till 1885, when he changedhis residence to Mink Creeek, Idaho, hispresent home. In 1891 he was calledto go on a mission to Scandinavia. Hewas ordained a Seventy and set apartfor the mission by Christian D. FJeld-sted, Aug. 28, 1891, and left the samedav for Denmark. He performed suc-cessful work in the Odense and Esbjergbranche.^, in the Aarhus conference,andwas also sent into northern Germany,t^ labor in Haderslev, Schleswig, buthe was banished from that province bythe government, and consequently re-turned to Denmark. While on this. mission Bro. Hansen labored muchamong his own relatives and those ofhis wife. He also gathered consider-able genealogy. After his return homehe was called to labor as a home mis-sionary in the Oneida Stake of Zion,which duty he diligently performed forseveral years. He presided over theY. M. M. I. A. in Mink Creek, and act-ed faithfully as a Ward teacher formany years. As president of the Scan-dinavian meetings in Mink Creeek hehas been very zealous in his labors, andhe is throughout an energetic and re-spected citizen of the community,whichhe has served as supervisor of roadsfor several years, and as a school trus- tee foi- three successive terms. He Isyet serving in the latter capacity, andis also in the employe of the govern-ment, having charge of the transporta-tion of the U. S. mail from Mink Creekto Preston. Brother H
