PACIFIC OCEAN – Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 15, the Logistics Combat Element of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, chain a 7-ton-truck to the floor of the well-deck aboard USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52) during Composite Training Unit Exercise, May 9, 2017. The Combat Cargo department is responsible for the organization and movement of Marines, vehicles and equipment aboard the ship. COMPTUEX prepares the MEU to effectively move Marines and equipment from sea-to-shore, and operate in austere environments.
