The North Pole-19 (SP-19) is a Soviet research station. I drifted around the North Pole from November 1969 to April 1973. On the night of January 4-5, 1970, an ice floe ran aground near the De Long islands. Part of the island was fragmented, cracks appeared under some tents, several warehouses and buildings died. In March, the station team and the equipment were transported by helicopter to the main part of the island. After the break, two bear cubs appeared at the station and were brought from Zhokhov Island. Bear cubs lived at the station for several months, after which they were sent to zoo
