On the 17th of December. 1873. Mr. Crill wasmarried to Miss Julia Matthews, who was bornJune I, 1852. in the state of New York, her par-ents being John T. and Elvira P. (Garvin) Mat-thews, who came to Illinois when their daughterwas but five years of age. They had a family ofsix children—.Andrew, who died in New Yorkcity: Keziah, who died in the state of NewYork, in .\pril, 1885; Augusta, who became thewife of George Carr and died in Cherry Valley,. Matthews have now passedaway. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Crill was blessedwith four children, but they lost their eldest,Johnnie, who was born ( )ctol)er 4, 1874, anddied February 28, 1875. Perry A., born March27, 1877, purstied his education in the commonschools in Alonroe Center for a year and in thebusiness college at Rockford for one term. Heremained upon the home farm until twenty-three years of age and five years ago he enteredthe Manufacturers Bank of Rockford as col-lector, assistant cashier and bookkeeper.
