Night shot of clouds in the kathmandu valley
This was taken in October 2004 and is the view looking southeast from Bhainsepati in the Kathmandu valley. The hill is Champa Devi about 2000m high and just one of the ring of hilltops that circles the entire valley. This shot is a long exposure of about 5 minutes giving short star trails which can clearly be seen. It has also blurred the cloud giving a dreamy effect. The sky retains a vivid blue as night had not fully set in and the cloud itself is lit by a full moon rising on the opposite horizon
