Kuwait City, Kuwait, satellite image. This is the capital city of Kuwait. It is a major port and financial centre. Two of the city's working harbours can be seen at top left and centre right. The city's main product is petroleum and its derivatives. On the peninsula at top right are the Kuwait towers, one of the city's top tourist attractions. Two are water towers, with large water-holding spheres; one tower also has another sphere housing a rotating restaurant and cafeteria. The third tower houses a light and is used to illuminate the towers. Next to the towers is a water park. Taken by the Ikonos satellite on 28 December 2001.
