Symptoms.—Pain in the eye, lacrimation, photophobia,and a discharge which may be catarrhal or disease may be acute or chronic. Foreign bodies in the eye can be removed by turningthe upper hd, if they are not visible. It isdivided into phlyctenular, ulcerative, and interstitialkeratitis. Symptoms.—Pain, lacrimation, and photophobia. Inthe phlyctenular variety small vesicles appear upon thecornea which may rupture and form shallow result from healed ulcers. In the interstitial formthe inflammation is not upon the surface, but within thestructure of the cornea. This form of the disease is dueto hereditary syphilis.
