The fruit is almost round, ri- pens clear up to the stem, is solid, and rich in Savor. The skin is both thin and tough, making it a good shipper, while its clear, bright scarlet color makes it very attractive in appearance. Per oz., 20 cts., \ lb., 60 cts.; lb., $ Idvingstone's Stone.—This variety is re- commended for a main crop, is of large size, bright scarlet color, very smooth, with occa- sionally a specimen very slightly octagon- shaped; ripening evenly to the stem without a crack; exceedingly solid and firm-fleshed (as its name indicates); is an excellent ship- per; quality the very best; fine for canning; a good keeper; without hard core; not sub- ject to rot; its appearance on market remark- ably attractive; a heavy variety; its vines and foliage rank and robust, heavily loaded with very uniform specimens of fruit.
