Canada shut Norway out to win the gold medal after a disappointing third place finish at the 2010 Vancouver Special Olympics. Sledge Hockey is played in countries around the world and is part of the Special Olympics for physically and mentally disabled athletes. Teams receive funding from their National Hockey associations and are part of the International Ice Hockey Federation.
