Samuel Davenport and Elijah W. Eeynolds openeda store where A. S. Davenport, son of Samuel, nowkeeps, in the year 1834. This firm was dissolved in1835, and the business continued by Samuel Daven-port to the year 1840, when he formed a partnershipwith John B.
