Pfc. Alejandro Cabrera, a wheeled vehicle mechanic with the Delaware National Guard’s 238th Aviation Regiment, converses with a Capitol Police officer at a security check point at the Capitol April 2. The two were at a securing an intersection just a few hundred meters away from where a vehicle rammed a police barricade and a suspect killed one USCP officer, and sent another to the hospital just hours before. The National Guard responded by sending an Immediate Reaction Force to aid the USCP.
