Members of the Sturmabteilung (the SA, the infamous brownshirts) during the April 1 1933 boycott of Jewish businesses. Here they are seen blocking the entrance to Georg Cohn's store in Berlin. The boycott of Jewish businesses was the first direct anti-jewish action which led on to the exclusion of Jews from society and ultimately the extermination, and it took place only 2 months after Hitler came to power.
