From the point eight miles west of the meeting house, a line was rundue north and south, extending to the Merrimack on the south, and to theintersection of the northwest line from Holts Eocks on the north. Thisgave the township nearly the form of a triangle. The length of the north-east angle was about fifteen miles ; of the west line rather more; and anair line from Holts Eocks, to the southwest corner, would have been alsoabout fifteen miles.
