Ekin, OMalley, Deverell, Owensand Rider on Saturday morning beforeChristmas. Their kindly greetings, as they r. visited the various bureaus, were gracefullyreceived, and the spirit of the Yuletideseemed fairly to radiate throughout theroom. Harry Phelps, our fellow clerkand first class Notary Pubhc, upon hearingof a person who intended going west overanother road, tried to secure this passengerfor the Baltimore and Ohio. After goinginto details, for the purpose of drawingattention to the superior service of theBaltimore and Ohio, which we are all proudof and glad to boost, this person decided totravel via our line. Mr. Phelps feelsassured that he would have lost this pas-senger had he not persevered, and refusedto be discouraged when the lady told himshe would use another road.
