A piece of shrapnel was removed from behind the ear of an Afghan National Police (ANP) officer as he received treatment by members of both the Farah Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) medical staff and the Farah Forward Surgical Team (FST) located on Forward Operating Base (FOB) Farah, Afghanistan, Jan. 25, 2010. The officer received minor injuries during an insurgent attack and was then flown to the FOB via a Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) helicopter for treatment; the officer rejoined his unit the same evening.
