A series of wildfires breaks out across England as the intense heatwave reaches record levels. The fire services were called just after noon to attend a fire in the woods of Shirley Hills Woods, one of London’s largest parks in Croydon. Although no-one was hurts, it required four fire engines and over 25 firefighters to bring the fire under control.
