Large quantities of flowers of all kinds were in such demand that in some lines the supply was not sufficient to go around. This was the case particularly with the va- rious yellow roses. Bulgarie or Mrs. Taft also sold up every day. Carna- tions have shortened up, or the de- mand is better, for very little loose stock is seen in the commission houses. .\ny jar of good stock generally has a paper in the pot marked sold. Chrys- anthemums were large in both supply and demand. The quality of the stock was excellent and good prices were realized for all grades. Bonnafton, Yellow Chadwick, Yellow Eaton and Golden Eagle were the best yellows. Jenne Nonln, Lynwood Hall, Jerome Jones were the whites, with Maud Dean and the huge Rosetta the lead- ers in pink. The late pompons sold very well. The chrysanthemum rtien say this has been one of their best seasons. The violet has also been a factor and large quantities of both dou- ble and single were sold.
