A set of German hunting knives (trousse), dated 1693 Steel "Praxe" (chopping knife) with a heavy single-edged blade, and a star-shaped smith mark. Iron grip frame with a chased pommel. The riveted staghorn grip scales are backed with brass and set with three decorative rivets on the obverse side. Leather and velvet covered wooden scabbard with finely chased ornamental openwork brass framing. The date "1693" (somewhat rubbed) on the locket. The scabbard contains two original by-knives, a two-pronged fork, as well as an awl and steel, each with a chased iron grip,
