Dorset is a county in South West England, lies on the English Channel coast and borders Devon to the west, Somerset to the North West, Wiltshire in the North and Hampshire to the east, its county town being Dorchester. A largely rural county with a large part of it traversed by two ranges of chalk hills called the North and South Downs. Wheat and barley are grown in the west and north and immense flocks of sheep are pastured on the downs. Dorset attractions include the famous Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site which includes Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and the 29 Kilometre long Chesil Beach.
