INTRODUCTION It has been pointed out in earlier publications^ that apple scald could1)6 partly or entirely controlled by the application of various oils, fats, andwaxes, either to the apple wrappers or to tlie apples themselves. Thepresent paper reports the results of more complete and detailed studieson the relation of oils and waxes to the behavior of apples in storage. vSTOR.\GE EXPERIMENTS WITH WR.\PPERS The results of five years experiments with various kinds of wrappersare reported in Table I.
