The ocular sutures (OS) surround the bases of each of the com-pound eyes except in the anterior aspect of the head where a narrowband of sclerite, the ocular sclerite (OCS), is interposed betweenthem. parafrontal sutures (PFS) are present, one on each side ofthe frons. Apparently no name has previously been given to themalthough they are shown in many drawings of various species ofdragonflies by
