Some years later, the chancel was foundto be in ruins, and the nave, although in good repair, was statednot to be in decent order. The church was then served by SimonSwayne. the Vicar of Bray, already mentioned as being in chargeof Tully parish. He resided in a house which he had built uponthe glebe belonging to Rathmichael.
