Oranje saves the Netherlands of the Spanish sea monster, approx. 1577. Political allegory with Willem van Oranje who comes to save the Netherlands (Andromeda) as a perseverous tyranny (the sea monster), approx. 1577. Andromeda with a weapon referred to as the Duchy of Brabant , right the fifteen other provinces. Heads and the bodies of men and children, the earlier victims of the sea monster in the foreground. The weapon on the shield of the Prince of Orange and the weapons on the breast and back of the dragon are polished. In the caption 1 verse of 8 lines and 2 verses of 6 lines in Dutch.
