Cabbage is the most universally culti- vated of all garden vegetables, and will thrive in almost any soil; but to bring it to the greatest perfection, the soil should be deep, rich and moist. For early use, sow in hot-bed or cold frame in winter, or very early in the spring. I For field culture they may be sown in I Beds and transplanted.
