A dozy female sleeping high up. Lake Nakuru National Park, Kenya: THESE PICTURES show how a dozy female lion used a tree for the perfectly peaceful sleeping spot. One image shows a lion sleeping on a tree, its paws hanging off the branches as it gets comfy. Lions can grow up to 500 pounds, reaching a body length of 82 inches with an additional tail. These images were taken by wildlife photographer Harshal Malvankar (38) in Lake Nakaru National Park in Kenya using a Nikon Z7 Mkii camera. ?Lions in Lake Nakuru National Park in Kenya have different behaviour pattern. Unlike other lions they are known to spend time on trees just like leopards,? said Harshal. ?Typically, this is very rare to witness a lion on a tree and it is indeed a dream sight for all wildlife photographers. ?When I went there it rained quite well. Hoping the rains and wet ground would make the lion uncomfortable and make it climb on the tree we decided to spend time near long tree branches. ?We spent eight hours without any luck. As the sun started to set, we suddenly saw a moment happening under the tree. ?It was a dream for me. The lion climbed up and slept on the tree with a perfect set up for me and I got my dream photo frame shot. ?I felt like I was mediadrumimages/HarshalMalvankar
