Many planters in different parts of the country have grown Colossal Tomatoes weighing over 3 lbs., and some more than 4 lbs. Not only does the Colossal produce giant fruits but it produces them in abundance. One planter in Illinois raised over a ton of tomatoes from 186 plants. The very thick, meaty flesh, few seeds and mild flavor combine to give the Colossal a quality on a par with its immense size.
