Heart made from copper wire reclaimed from electric cable offcuts. Sumerged in a water filled black garden tray which has been rocked to give the water movement and make the heart seem blurred. Copper was the earliest metal to be used by humans. It is easily drawn out into wire and is a very good conductor of heat and electricity, so is frequently used for electrical wiring. When clean it is this distinctive red brown colour, but weathers to a bluish green.
