Climate Rush: Celebration of Community Resistance Sipson, London. 5 Sept 2009 Activists from around the country came to give short presentations on their campaigns, including those against Radley Lakes, Fos-y-Fran, Rossport, The IMF/World Bank, Vestas, a message from Cathy McCormack in Easterhouse, and finally Geraldine talked about the campaign against the third runway at Heathrow. Short scenes related to each activity were acted as 'street theatre' with a villain and a specially painted backdrop for each campaign, and a protest song with verses about each campaign was developed and performed through the event. Local residents and campaigners against the Heathrow expansion came to listen and join in.
