Black Hmong children study in the small school of Lao Chai in the district of Sapa, Vietnam. Black Hmong people wear indigo-dyed linen clothing with the women adding cylindrical hats and heavy silver jewelry. The Black Hmong (aka Hmong Den), usually found at mid to high elevations are among the largest groups of Hmong (H’mong, Meo, Miao) in North Vietnam.
