A beautiful Greek church and swimming pool at Oia on the island of Santorini, Where the greatest explosion this earth has ever known took place in the year 1628 BC. The island had been inhabited before to about 3000 years. 36,000 were burned to death in the rain of fire that followed it. The whole island flew into the air with an energy equal to 7,000 hiroshima bombs. The island was 3/4 submerged by the sea, leaving only the the small island of Nea Kameni in its wake. It is now an island full of Greek churches and small hotels for a burgeoning tourist industry.
