180202-N-HF252-125 SAN DIEGO (Feb. 2, 2018) Electronics Technician 3rd Class James Scroggins, assigned to the Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine USS Annapolis (SSN 760), shares the “first kiss” with his wife as the ship arrives in its new homeport at Naval Base Point Loma. USS Annapolis is the fourth ship to be named for Annapolis, Md., site of the Naval Academy. She arrived after two years of extensive maintenance at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine and three months operating at sea.
