Lieutenant Estep of the Signal Corps is seen in this photograph, which was taken at a first aid station during World War I. Wounded soldiers were either able to walk or were carried on litters to a clearing station in Cuisy, France. From there, they were transported to different field hospitals by ambulances. The photograph was released by the Censor, but the exact date of its release is unknown.
