Foy-Breguet telegraph. Historical illustration of the telegraph developed by French physicist Louis-Francois-Clement Breguet (1804-1883) who was a pioneer in this field. He and Alphonse Foy developed the electrical needle telegraph in 1842, with further work in 1847.
