This very rare bird is a spring visitor in Pennsylva- nia, New York, and New England. It appears to fre- quent low thickets, and is exceedingly active in pursuit of its prey, scarcely remaining a moment in the same place. It probably winters in tropical America. Lengtli 5} inches; alar extent 8. Aliove rich yellow-olive,nearly green; wings dusky-brown, edged witli olive.
