From the castle is a fine view acrossthe broad valley of the Loire to Bas, with the strangeoutlines of the chateau de Rochebaron in the contains numerous Gothic houses, the mostinteresting perhaps being the ancient convent with itscarved doorway, and spiral staircase capped with apointed roof.
