MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Nov. 13, 2013) - From left to right, the Turkish vessels TCG Akar (A-580), TCG Giresun (F 491), and TCG Gelibolu (F 493) participate a high speed maneuvering exercise. The exercise is part of the Exercise Dogu Akdeniz 2013, hosted by Commander, Turkish Fleet to support interoperability efforts. Stout, homeported in Norfolk, Va., is on a scheduled deployment supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 6th Fleet area of operation.
